Rotational viscometer
CATALOG NAME:
Rheotest-2
DESCRIPTION:
The device allows the measurement of the transmitted torsion moment that occurs due to the ring-shaped layer of liquid placed between two coaxial cylinders. The outer cylinder is fixed, the inner cylinder can be rotated with variable revolutions. The torsion moment is correlated with the shear stress ( ), while the revolution and the thickness of the ring-shaped layer determine the shear rate ( ). The rheological behavior of the fluid can be appreciated from dependence. For Newtonian fluids, when dependence is linear, it is possible to establish the value of dynamic viscosity. Also, from at least three measurements performed at different temperatures, is possible to calculate the activation energy of viscous flow (Ea) and the preexponential factor from the Arhenius type equation.

HAAKE POLYLAB SYSTEM
CATALOG NAME:
HAAKE POLYLAB SYSTEM/ HAAKE RHEOMIX
DESCRIPTION:
HAAKE POLYLAB SYSTEM/ HAAKE RHEOMIX, torque rheometer platform are focused on batch testing of many highly viscous substances. Intelligent modular torque rheometer system for the simulation of industrial processes in the lab or pilot plants. In a small-scale customers can characterize materials like polymers, elastomers, additives and fillers to avoid problems in their production. A typical mixer test is run at a defined speed (shear rate) versus time, and the material's response is recorded as torque. The mixing chamber is temperature-controlled precisely by independent heating and cooling zones, but due to the frictional heat in the mixing bowl, a change in the material's melt temperature is observed and recorded as measuring signal. This “Rheogram” (torque, melt temperature vs. time at constant speed) is characteristic for different materials or blends and often used as a “fingerprint” in Quality Control for incoming or outgoing product inspection. Different additives in type and concentration can be measured and quantified objectively through the melting behavior, consumed energy or melt viscosity (recorded torque).

Moisture Analyzer
CATALOG NAME:
MA X2.A Moisture Analyzer
DESCRIPTION:
Moisture analyzer is designed to verify relative moisture content in small samples of various substances, dry mass content in small samples and mass of weighed objects. The device ensures fast and precise process of determination of water content in a tested sample whereas application of touch screen display considerably simplifies operation and improves functionality of the moisture analyzer. The device can be used to determine humidity content of different materials. At the initial stage of the measurement, the moisture analyzer precisely determines mass of an object placed on a weighing pan. As the mass reading is stabilized, the sample is quickly heated by a halogen lamp, an IR emitter or a metal heater causing humidity evaporation from the tested sample. While sampling, the moisture analyzer is continuously checking loss of mass, and on calculation, it displays current moisture content of a tested sample. Compared to conventional methods of humidity content determination of various substances, application of moisture analyser considerably shortens measurement time and simplifies testing procedure. Moisture analyzer facilitates setting multiple parameters which influence the procedure of moisture content determination in a sample (temperature, time, drying modes, etc.).
