New polices for reducing energy consumption in residential sector has led to the concept of buildings with very low energy consumption such as passive buildings, Zero-Energy houses or even Plus-Energy houses. At the same time growing rapidly the concept smart buildings with Internet of Things Technologies.

The green and smart buildings (GSB) laboratory aims to test and develop new energy efficient solutions, competitive products and intelligent home technologies through interdisciplinary research.

Our goal is to develop and implement energy efficient solutions which will have a positive impact on user comfort. In other words, the research team will focus on developing and integration of Internet of Things devices; Off-Grid Power solutions; designing discrete energy systems with demand management, storage, generation and capabilities for parralel or independent operating from the main power grid.

The CAMPUS GSB laboratory will seek throughout time to partnership with universities, research institutes and other stakeholders as a part of horizontal development strategy. The ultimate goal of the research laboratory is to guide the society towards reliable energy efficient solutions in the context of smart cities.
