Food Packaging Laboratory is testing food packaging materials in terms of food contact according to national and EU regulations. The Laboratory is accredited by RENAR. The laboratory also perform analysis of heavy metals content in food packaging materials and food products, heavy metals migration from food packaging materials into food simulants and minerals content in food products.

Testing of food contact materials
SERVICE DESCRIPTION:
Food packaging laboratory performs tests for packaging materials intented to come into contact with food through accredited analyses, such as: overall migration, specific migration (BPA, formaldehyde, dyes, heavy metals). Laboratory also performs tests for barrier properties of flexible films to water vapors and gases as well as physico-mechanical properties tests. Metals, heavy metals and minerals analysis by AAS and ICP-MS is another field coverred by Food Packaging Laboratory. Also, using an ion exchange chromatograph it can be quantified the amino acids profile of several food products (meat, flour, cereals)
